Compagnie Carolyn Carlson

Artistic Direction: Carolyn Carlson

Creation: 2004

Recognised for her talents as a choreographer, Carolyn Carlson is equally a “group leader”, gathering around herself the personalities who nourish her poetic world. Her creations are the fruit of exchanges with performers which she chooses primarily for their distinctiveness and their capacity to commit to a composition process based on improvisation techniques. Today, the Carolyn Carlson Company consists of a group of nineteen dancers who come together in various combinations, depending on the work or project.

Dancers Alan Brooks, Alessandra Vigna, Amina Amici, Celine Maufroid, Chiara Michelini, Chinatsu Kosakatani, Cristina Santucci, Flavien Bernezet, Guilhem Rouillon, Isida Micani, Jacky Berger, Maxim Kopistko, Riccardo Meneghini, Sara Orselli, Sara Simeoni, Sonia Rocha, Sophie Abrioux, Tero Saarinen, Yoann Boyer, Yutaka Nakata

Artistic collaborators Aleksi Aubry-Carlson, Armand Amar, Alain Fleischer, Caterina Sagna, Electronic Shadow, Euan Burnet-Smith, Hassan Massoudy, Joby Talbot, Kim Mae Ja, Kudsi Erguner, Kaija Saariaho, Larrio Ekson, Malou Airaudo, Marie Desplechin, Nicolas de Zorzi, René Aubry, Rémi Nicolas, Stéphane Vérité, Yoshi Omori
