Fenella
The film is an intimate portrait of a young dancer.
We see the dancer as she rehearses in a studio, immersed in her movements.
The camera focuses on her face and body, isolating her from her surroundings and the presence of other dancers is only hinted at.
Sound is mainly absent or is very minimal. The gaps in sound (silence), provide a space, like the dancer's studio, in which within it her disposition unfolds.

Western classical dance enters the modernity of the 20th century: The Ballets russes and the Ballets suédois
If the 19th century is that of romanticism, the entry into the new century is synonymous of modernity! It was a few decades later that it would be assigned, a posteriori, the name of “neo-classical”.
