Haute Résilience

In continuation of their work on resilience, started with the performance ACCIDENS (ce qui arrive), Raphaëlle Latini and Samuel Lefeuvre extract some of the choreographic and sound materials of the piece and confront it to an other performance frame. They re-question the sound/movement interaction principles, freeing themselves from some of the usual theatrical time and space restrictions, inside a more performative set-up in direct relationship with the audience.

Everytime, the way to present this performance is specifically thought regarding the venue and its particularities.

Lefeuvre, Samuel

Born in Vire in 1981. After a dance training in Caen and at the CNDC in Angers, he moves to Brussels where he works with Michele Anne De Mey and Les Ballets C de la B ("Wolf" of Alain Platel and "La Mancha", "Patchagonia" and "Primero/Erscht" of Lisi Estaras). It's during the creation of "Wolf" that he met Franck Chartier and Gabriela Carrizo who invite him to join the Peeping Tom collective to create "Le Salon" and "Le Sous-Sol". Sine 2007, he collaborates with musician Raphaëlle Latini with whom he created the collective groupe ENTORSE. In parallel with his work with the groupe ENTORSE he often collaborates with theater director Julie Bérès, creates his own work (the solo "monoLOG", "the BOOTSTAP II evening" in La Balsamine in Brussels, leading to the performance "l'évènement" with Florencia Demestri) and leads numerous classes and choreographic workshops (La Raffinerie/Brussels, Deltebre Dança/SP, …). He recently took part in cour d'honneur, of Jérôme Bel, created for the Avignon Festival in 2013.

The committed artist

In all the arts and here especially in dance, the artist sometimes creates to defend a cause, to denounce a fact, to disturb, to shock. Here is a panorama of some "committed" choreographic creations.

Meeting with literature

Collaboration between a choreographer and a writer can lead to the emergence of a large number of combinations. If sometimes the choreographer creates his dance around the work of an author, the writer can also choose dance as the subject of his text.
