Vibrations

Writing and setting Raphaël Navarro et Clément Debailleul

Vibrations modifies body gravity and whilst time is suspended, absence becomes presence and the invisible visible.

The Cie 14:20 initiates a cutting-edge artistic movement: “La Magie Nouvelle” (Contemporary Magic). This new performance illustrates, weaves its way through dance, circus, shadow theatre, object manipulation, digital art and painting. “Vibrations” questions the body, time and space in an unexpected way and reveals it at the limits of the possible.
Questing the “magical feeling”, this Magie Nouvelle (Contemporary Magic) is apprehended like a language of expression where the imbalance of perception is imagined as an artistic challenge, where the body is no longer restrained by reality. The show is performed as a quadriptych made up of four soli, each lasting 20 minutes.

[1970-2018] Neoclassical developments: They spread worldwide, as well as having multiple repertoires and dialogues with contemporary dance.

In the 1970s, artists’ drive towards a new classic had been ongoing for more than a half century and several generations had already formed since the Russian Ballets. As the years went by, everyone defended or defends classical dance as innovative, unique, connected to the other arts and the preoccupations of its time.
