Entre deux

Feeling that one does not belong, either here or elsewhere, seen as a foreigner by both sides… In this writing that explores the place of identity, the performer takes us on an internal journey. The instinct for showing the inside and outside of one's skin, the urgent need to reveal its thickness.

Stylistik

Artistic direction: Abdou N'gom

Creation: 2006

The Compagnie Stylistik was created in Lyon by Clarisse Veaux and Abdou N'gom, two hip-hop dancers. In September 2014, Abdou N'gom directed alone the company. He works to reveal his contemporary and personal writing, generous, curious and full of physicality. The company's repertoire includes : "Vis-à-vis" (2008), "Entre Deux" (2009), "A ton image", "Same Same" (2012 and 2014), "Falang" (2014) and "Resistances" (2016). At the same time as his creative work, Abdou N’gom states his determination to share his passion by raising awareness and communicating.

The committed artist

In all the arts and here especially in dance, the artist sometimes creates to defend a cause, to denounce a fact, to disturb, to shock. Here is a panorama of some "committed" choreographic creations.

Meeting with literature

Collaboration between a choreographer and a writer can lead to the emergence of a large number of combinations. If sometimes the choreographer creates his dance around the work of an author, the writer can also choose dance as the subject of his text.
