Mue

Mue is a short film of trapeze and dance, specially created for the medium video.
Based on an exploration and play of the body movement with the frame: the video frame as well as the one delimitated by the trapeze apparatus.
2 sequence shots for an extraction of the ground, dreams in the air: an aspiration.

Coconnier, Clémence

A choreographer and dancer who also trained as a trapeze artist, Clemence Coconnier has worked with authors from a range of other artistic fields, creating works that explore the body taking it as a vector of sensorial experience. As such, she created the performance – installation “Vertige” (dance trapeze and electric guitar for the festival "100 Dessus Dessous" at La Villette in 2007) where the choreographic, musical and lighting scores were written on exercising to the limits of a sound and of a movement. Harmonizing aerial sensations with gravity, she envisaged movements in relation to spaces that were framed by physical or abstract constraints.

She performed for the choreographer Myriam Gourfink (“Les temps tiraillés” presented in the Centre Pompidou – Monumenta, “Bestiole” 2011, “Une lente mastication” 2011), and with the association Meidosems she created the performances “Mue” (a short dance trapeze film with the graphic designer Yannick Calvez, 2009), “BLOB” (a dance trapeze duo with Emilie Gallier, 2010), “Replis” (a choreographic video work with Kasper T.Toeplitz, 2011).

The committed artist

In all the arts and here especially in dance, the artist sometimes creates to defend a cause, to denounce a fact, to disturb, to shock. Here is a panorama of some "committed" choreographic creations.

Meeting with literature

Collaboration between a choreographer and a writer can lead to the emergence of a large number of combinations. If sometimes the choreographer creates his dance around the work of an author, the writer can also choose dance as the subject of his text.

Dance and visual arts have often been inspiring for each other and have influenced each other. This Parcours can not address all the forms of their relations; he only tries to show the importance of plastic creation in some choreographies.
