Rich of a  repertoire of works created for her or transmitted by the greatest  personalities of the world of the dance, this young and brilliant  company shows in its various programs of impressive technical qualities  in the service of a real artistic sensibility. Peekaboo by  Marco Goecke, a German choreographer associated with the Nederlands Dans  Theater, is a custom-designed creation for eight dancers who throw  themselves into it. With this creation, Marco Goecke was elected choreographer of the year 2015 by TANZ magazine.

Goecke, Marco

Marco  Goecke was born in Wuppertal, Germany. He trained as a dancer at the  Heinz-Bosl-Stiftung in Munich as well as the Royal Conservatory of The  Hague and worked at the Staatsoper im Schiller Theater Berlin and  Theatre Hagen. After choreographing works in Hagen and for Stuttgart  Ballet’s Noverre-Society, Marco Goecke created ballets for New York City  Ballet (Mopey, 2004) and Stuttgart Ballet (Sweet Sweet Sweet, 2005). Marco Goecke became Choreographer in Residence at Stuttgart Ballet in 2005.

His interpretation of the ballet classic The Nutcracker (2006) was met with high acclaim as were his works Alben (2008), Fancy Goods (2009), Orlando (2010), in sensu (2011), Black Breath (2012), Dancer in the Dark (2012) and On Velvet (2013).

His solo works, Äffi and Mopey  entered the repertory of Stuttgart Ballet and Scapino Ballet Rotterdam  and have been performed at galas around the world. He has also created  works for The Hamburg Ballet, Leipziger Ballett, Nederlands Dans  Theater, Norwegian National Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Les  Ballets de Monte-Carlo, The Berlin State Ballet, Sao Paulo Companhia de  Dança and Ballet Zurich.

After having worked with Scapino Ballet  Rotterdam for more than seven years as Choreographer in Residence, Marco  Goecke accepted the position of Associate Choreographer with Nederlands  Dans Theater in 2013. In his most recent creation for Nederlands Dans  Theater, Hello Earth, his dancers performed on popcorn.

Plasson, Fabien

Born in 1977, Fabien Plasson is a video director specialized in the field of performing arts (dance , music, etc).

During his studies at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (joined in 1995) Fabien discovered video art. He was trained by various video artists (Joel Bartoloméo Pascal Nottoli , Eric Duyckaerts , etc) .
He first experimented with the creation of installations and cinematic objects.

From 2001 to 2011, he was in charge of Ginger & Fred video Bar’s programming at La Maison de la Danse in Lyon. He discovered the choreographic field and the importance of this medium in the dissemination, mediation and pedagogical approach to dance alongside Charles Picq, who was a brilliant video director and the director of the video department at that time.

Today, Fabien Plasson is the video director at La Maison de la Danse and in charge of the video section of Numeridanse.tv, an online international  video library, and continues his creative activities, making videos of concerts, performances and also creating video sets for live performances.

São Paulo Dance Company

Created in January 2008 by the Government of the State of São Paulo, São Paulo Companhia de Dança (SPCD) is direct by Inês Bogéa, Ph.D. in Arts, dancer, documentary filmmaker and writer. The Company has a varied repertoire, ranging from classical to contemporary. Recognized by specialized critics as one of the main dance companies of Latin America, since its creation, the Company has produced 49 choreographies: 27 creations and 22 restagings.

SPCD searches for a connection with the audience by curiosity and perception of the dance world in motion. The programs shows the variety of the repertoire of SPCD and the dynamics of Brazilian dancers. They have passion and on stage show the energy and joy of being there. The dancers are versatile and able to move between from the classical to the contemporary dance with a particular accent.
