Body trail CCTV
Based on the outdoor performance „bodies in urban spaces”-a moving trail for a group of dancers. The films showing the performers at close range reveal at the same time the spatial occupation at selected spaces in the nocturnal city and the performer's intensity of full activity. The speed and fleetingness of the action leads to a disorientation in the cities' structure.
Dorner, Will
Born in 1959 in Austria, Willi Dorner has an unusual background, combining modern dance, motion analysis, dance therapy, philosophy, and visual arts. From 1985 to 1992, he worked for various Austrian, French and New York companies. At the same time, he took his first steps as a choreographer and set up his own company in 1999 with which he has produced more than fifteen works for the stage, cinema, galleries, and other spaces. Alongside his company’s international tours, he produces films, showing particular interest in the creation of events giving publics the opportunity to enjoy new aesthetic experiences as well as to look at everyday life, and in particular urban landscape, in a new light. His multi-disciplinary approach also leads him to collaborate with artists and scientists in a wide variety of fields. The work of the Willi Dorner Company on stage or in “in situ” performances is omnipresent in Europe, Africa, America and Asia.
